Carpet Sign Salinas de Maras Rug

The different materials and shapes of the Salinas de Maras tufted rug by Carpet Sign come together looking like a natural landscape. The design of this rug was inspired by the terraced salt-evaporating ponds in the Peruvian Andes created by the Incas more than 700 years ago. The rug is available in three different patchwork-style designs – square, rectangular and stripes, and three colour combinations – salty white, ash gold and black sapphire. The pile heigh of the different pieces of Salinas de Maras varies between 10 mm and 60 mm, pile weight 2800 g/sq m. This rug comes in standard sizes of 2 x 2 m and 2 x 3 m, but these sizes can be increased linearly. Maximum size: 430 x 430 cm (square) or 313 x 470 cm (rectangular). Salinas de Maras is made of a mix of wool, silk, linen, cotton and viscose. This rug has officially been tested and is suitable for residential use.
